Third Loft is a digital marketing agency that works almost entirely with businesses in Grand Junction, Colorado. We help local companies across the Grand Valley build better websites, rank higher in search, and market smarter. This is who we are and why we do it the way we do.
Our origin
Why Jacob Started Third Loft
Third Loft was founded in 2017 by Jacob. He saw local businesses in the Grand Valley being sold cookie-cutter marketing by vendors who had never bothered to learn how this market works, and he thought the people here deserved better.
So he started an agency built to actually serve local owners. The idea was simple: know the market, do good work, and be the kind of partner you can call and get a real answer from.
Years later, that is still the core of how we operate.

A lot of agencies chase clients anywhere they can find them. We made the opposite choice. We decided to focus entirely on Grand Junction and the surrounding Grand Valley.

Jacob Tegtman
Founder
Hi, I’m Jacob Tegtman. I accidentally started Third Loft Marketing in 2018 when I began taking on small side marketing projects, while still working full-time doing in-person sales for a water damage restoration firm.
At the time, I really didn’t know how to “market” a business. I just knew how to “sell a service.” Over the years, Third Loft Marketing has grown exponentially. We now serve clients all over the world, and I genuinely feel that we provide the highest quality of marketing expertise that you can find anywhere. Our team is truly world-class.
No matter how much we grow in the marketing space, however, I always remember what it means to work for our clients. That is to say, we don’t care as much for getting you “website traffic, views, impressions,” or other vanity metrics.
Instead, we care about making our clients money. By extension, I guarantee you that we care about improving your quality of life. You can count on us as your digital sales team, and depend on us to get you results.
Jon Hayes
Websites and Technical SEO
Hi, I’m Jon. I build and rebuild the websites behind Third Loft’s clients, and I handle the technical side of getting them found: site architecture, page speed, local SEO, and Google Business Profile. If you have worked with us on a new build or a redesign, I am usually the one in the back end making it happen.
The part of this work I genuinely enjoy is the problem solving. A site that looks good but does not convert. A business that is invisible in local search. A listing with the wrong phone number quietly costing someone calls for years. Those are puzzles, and I like taking them apart. I also build the internal tools our team runs on, because the faster we can see what is working for a client, the faster we can do more of it.
Outside of work I chase roller coasters. I have ridden more than 200 different ones and I am always hunting down the next. When I am not doing that, you will usually find me at a music festival. Both involve a lot of planning for something that only works if it feels effortless on the day, which is not a bad description of a good website either.

Hi! I’m Leah, a dedicated digital marketer with 5+ years of digital marketing experience. I’m passionate about storytelling, sharing YOUR story as a small business and highlighting what makes your company and services unique.
As a proud Colorado Mesa University alumna (go Mavs!), I know the Grand Valley and love serving local businesses. As a word nerd, I hold a BA in English (Writing Concentration) and a BA in Spanish. I also hold two digital marketing certificates.

Hi, I’m Brittany Welsh! I’m a wife and mom to two daughters, and I’ve been grateful to be part of the Third Loft team for the past two years. Before joining Third Loft, my professional background was in education, where I developed a passion for helping others succeed through communication, organization, and building meaningful relationships. Those same skills have naturally carried over into marketing, and I’ve truly enjoyed learning every aspect of the industry from Jacob and the rest of the Third Loft team.
The part of my job I enjoy most is getting to know our clients and learning what makes each business unique. I love helping identify opportunities to strengthen their online presence and supporting strategies that help their businesses continue to grow. Seeing our clients succeed is incredibly rewarding, and I genuinely care about helping them reach their goals. Marketing is always changing, which means there’s always something new to learn, and I enjoy continuing to grow alongside our team while finding new ways to better serve our clients.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family. I’m a huge Disney fan, and some of my favorite memories have been made traveling with my husband and daughters, especially when our adventures take us to Disney! I also enjoy reading, exploring new places, and making the most of quality time together. I believe that building strong relationships, staying curious, and always being willing to learn are what make both life and work so rewarding, and I bring that same mindset to every client I have the opportunity to work with.
