Google Ads Management for Grand Valley Businesses
When someone in Grand Junction or Fruita searches for what you sell, Google Ads can put your business at the top of the results, right when they are ready to call or buy. Third Loft builds and manages those campaigns for local businesses across the Grand Valley. We focus on the outcomes that matter to an owner, calls and leads, not clicks and impressions that look good on a chart but do not pay the bills.
Our clients are Grand Valley businesses, so we understand who your customers are and how they search. That market knowledge shapes sharper targeting than a national agency running your account from a template.
The gap
The problem with most local Google Ads accounts
We see the same patterns over and over when we audit local accounts. A previous vendor set things up, aimed the campaign at too wide an area, and never tuned it. Budget leaks on searches that were never going to turn into customers. The owner sees money going out every month but cannot say how many calls it brought in.
The other common issue is measurement. Without call tracking and conversion tracking in place, you are flying blind. Clicks and impressions tell you the ad showed up, not whether it produced a paying customer. If nobody can tie ad spend to real business, the whole exercise is a guess.
How we work
How we manage your Google Ads
We treat your ad budget the way we would treat our own. That means careful targeting, tight tracking, and regular adjustment based on what the numbers show.
Targeting Grand Valley customers
We aim your campaigns at the areas you actually serve, Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, Clifton, the Redlands, Orchard Mesa, and Montrose, rather than paying for clicks from across the state. We build keyword lists around what local customers really type when they are ready to act, and we add negative keywords to cut out searches that waste spend. The goal is to reach people with intent, not just traffic.
Managing your spend
Your ad budget is finite, so we spend it where it works. We monitor which keywords, times, and messages produce leads and shift money toward them, away from the ones that do not. Your plan covers both the spend and the management, and reporting still shows you how much went to ads and how much to running them.
Google Ads management is $500 a month, and that covers both your Google Ads spend and the work of managing the campaigns. If you want to put more behind your ads, we quote a custom plan. See our pricing page.
Measuring calls and leads
Before a campaign goes live, we set up call tracking and conversion tracking so every lead is counted. That lets us report on the metrics that matter, cost per lead and number of calls or form fills, instead of vanity numbers. When you can see what a lead actually costs, you can make real decisions about your marketing.
Results
Proof from local campaigns
We would rather point to results than make claims. For the businesses we manage, we track the numbers an owner cares about.
Our knowledge of the Grand Valley is part of the value, and it keeps us close to how the local market actually behaves.
Process
What working with us looks like
- Free audit. If you have an existing account, we review it and show you where budget is leaking and where the opportunities are. If you are starting fresh, we map out a plan.
- Setup and tracking. We build the campaigns and put call and conversion tracking in place before anything goes live.
- Launch and monitor. Campaigns go live and we watch performance closely in the early days when adjustments matter most.
- Report and refine. You get clear reporting on calls, leads, and cost per lead, and we keep tuning over time.
How it connects
How Google Ads fits with the rest of your marketing
Ads send people somewhere, and where they land decides whether the click was worth it. A well-built landing page turns paid traffic into calls, which is why our Google Ads work connects to our conversion and web design work. See our conversion rate optimization and website design pages for how that fits together.
Ads and SEO also work as a pair. Ads bring traffic today while your search rankings build over the long term, so you are not waiting months for results or paying per click forever. More on that on our Grand Junction SEO page.
Before we start
Categories Google will not let us advertise
Google decides what can run on its network, and those rules are not ours to bend. We check your category before we take on an account, because there is no sense charging you to manage a campaign that was never going to be approved.
Never allowed
- Counterfeit goods
- Recreational drugs and related paraphernalia
- Weapons, ammunition, and explosives
- Tobacco and vaping products
- Hacking tools, fake documents, and anything else that helps someone deceive
Google publishes this list in full and updates it. If you are in one of these categories, no agency can get your ads running, and anyone who says otherwise is selling you something.
Allowed, with strings attached
- Alcohol
- Gambling and real money games
- Healthcare, pharmacies, and medicines
- Financial products and services
- Cryptocurrency
- Dating and companionship services
- Political content and adult content
These need certification, advertiser verification, or both before a single ad runs, and the rules change by state. It is workable, it just is not instant.
Two local trades that need extra verification
Locksmiths in the United States and Canada, and garage door companies in the United States, have to pass Google’s advanced verification before their ads can serve. It is a normal part of the process for those trades and it is not a reflection on your business, but it takes time. We build it into the plan up front rather than letting you discover it after you have paid for a month of management.
Advanced verification also expects your real legal or registered trading name to be displayed where customers would expect to see it, and any flat-rate or discount offer in your ads to say what it includes and excludes.
If your business falls into one of these, we will tell you at the free audit, before you pay us anything. It is rarely the end of the conversation. The rules for search engine optimization and for your Google Business Profile are different from the rules for paid ads, so a category that is closed to advertising is often still wide open in organic search.
Local
Why choose a local agency for Google Ads
A national agency runs your campaign using the same playbook it uses everywhere, with no feel for your market. We know the Grand Valley, we know who your customers are, and you can reach a real person who knows your account. Our reputation depends on producing results for Grand Valley businesses.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is my ad spend included in your management fee?
No. The money you spend on Google Ads goes directly to Google and is separate from what you pay Third Loft to build and manage your campaigns. We keep the two clearly separated in every report so you always know how much went to ads and how much went to management.
Yes. The $500 a month for a single platform covers both the ad spend and the management, so there is one figure to plan around. Running Google alongside other platforms, or a larger budget, is quoted after a free audit. Full detail is on our pricing page.
How much should I budget for Google Ads?
The right budget depends on your industry, how competitive the local search terms are, and how many leads you want. We would rather start at a level where we can gather real data and scale up once we see what a lead costs, than push you to overspend on day one. During the free audit we can give you a realistic range for your situation.
How do you measure whether the ads are working?
We set up call tracking and conversion tracking before launch so every lead is counted and tied to a source. We report on cost per lead and the number of calls or form fills, not clicks and impressions. Those business metrics are the only fair way to judge whether the spend is producing customers.
How soon will I see leads from Google Ads?
Because ads put you in front of people who are already searching, you can start seeing calls and leads within days of launch. The first few weeks are usually about gathering data and tuning, so performance tends to improve as we refine. We do not promise specific numbers, because that depends on your market and offer.
What happens to my account if I stop working with you?
The Google Ads account is yours. We build campaigns inside an account you own, so if the relationship ends you keep the account, the history, and the data. We are not interested in holding your account hostage as leverage.
Do you also handle Facebook and Instagram ads?
Yes. Google Ads reaches people who are already searching, while Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram build awareness and reach people earlier in their decision. Many local businesses use both. You can read about that on our Meta ads page.
