The Support Local Business Initiative

The Support Local Business Initiative is all about helping local businesses thrive and succeed

Live Interviews

Each month, we interview local businesses to feature in our monthly email newsletter, and website.

Business & Passion

Our goal is to show the local community more about not just what your business offers, but why you offer it.

As in, why did you start your business to begin with? Do you have a passion for what you do? What makes you stand out from your competition?

See samples of our Live Interviews for an idea of how these semi-informal promos to the community look.

Email Newsletter

Each month, we also produce an email newsletter based entirely from an audience in the local community.

List Quality

We've built our email list from members in the local community who have told us that they want to get a monthly newsletter from local businesses.

We continually grow our list from Support Local Business Facebook groups, our own website, and other sources that ensure high list quality.

Sponsorships

Our goal is to promote local businesses to people in the community who want to support them.

About the Support Local Business Initiative

Back in 2020, many businesses closed their doors temporarily, waiting out the pandemic. For others, the close was permanent.

Our goal is to help local businesses stay alive. For many small businesses, 2020 was the first time that they had to rely heavily on digital sales and marketing to keep their business going.

It was during that time that we launched a "Support Local Business" Facebook page for our hometown of Grand Junction, CO. We interviewed dozens of local businesses, promoting them on the page. We created an online community for businesses to share their products and services, and did what we could to help local companies stay afloat.

Since then, the group has grown in size, interest in the initiative has increased, and we've decided to expand  to more areas.

As the group has grown, it's made more sense to move the platform to our own website and monthly email newsletter. We're still focused on local, particularly small businesses. We're still all about the local community. We're just expanding now to reach more!
